Indica su página: “Very few imprints have survived or were printed in Puerto Rico in the first quarter of the 19th century. José Toribio Median registered only eight imprints from 1809 to 1817 in his La imprenta en algunas ciudades de la América Española, 1754-1823. The JCB hold sixteen Puerto Rican imprints dating from 1808 to 1828, most of these held by no other institution or otherwise unknown to bibliographers. Among these is the only known copy of El Tapaboca, a satirical piece written against Simón Bolívar and the independence movement in Venezuela. The JCB published a modern edition of this work in 2000.”
